Santorossi was born in Treviso. He has always been interested in communications through images and has carried out research into different materials and the relationship between the graphic sign and expression. He has been painting since 1970. Around the middle of the 80s he began experimenting with a new technique using the properties of a special plastic material and industrially produced supports and accessories. An exceptionally unusual expressive language emerged that he has perfected in a long series of applications in serial themes. In 1990, he investigated further the conceptual dimension of his work with special focus on the relationship between image, caption and their interpretation.
In 1993 he carried out a research into Canova’s myths, which won him the invitation to the XIV Venice Biennial through the "Le Venezie" Centre for Culture and Visual Arts.
In 1994 he was invited to exhibit his works at the Arts Palace in Peking, as part of the exhibition "Fellow artists of Marco Polo".
In 1996 he was selected by the critic, Luigi Lambertini, to take part in the Modern Art Biennial "Premio Marche".
In 1998 he exhibited in the Italian Biennial of Modern Art, Trevi Flash Art Museum.
In 2000 he took part in the travelling exhibition "Liberty between art and transgression" which went to the Australian cities of Sidney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart.
In 2002 he won the 1st prize in the "VI International Painting price, City of Laives".
In 2004 and 2005 he took part in the "Celeste Award" (San Gimignano, Sienna) where he was mentioned in the publication by Gianluca Marziani.
He has taken part in numerous cultural exhibitions and events in both Italy and abroad.
He has had several personal exhibitions, including: Palazzo Lomellini in Carmagnola (Turin), Scoletta dei Battioro e Tiraoro in Venice, Palazzo Mediceo in San Leo (Pescara), Casa dei Carraresi in Treviso, Gallery Schroeder Schlossermauer in Augsburg (Germany), Gallery Del Este in Valencia (Spain), Gallery Traghetto in Venice, Morum Artis Museum in Montese (Modena), Gallery Vincent in Kastev (Croatia), Palazzo della Pretura in Castell’Arquato (Piacenza), Foundation Villa Benzi Zecchini in Caerano San Marco (Treviso), Gallery of Modern Art in Belluno, Gallery of Modern Art in San Donà di Piave (Venice), and many more besides.

He has been included in both the Guide to modern and contemporary art by Franco Batacchi (De Vecchi, Milan, 1991) and Triveneto Art by Ottorino Stefani (Edition D’Arte Ghelfi, Verona, 2006).
